Love is the basis for everything that Shayla does, her true nature, her foundation.  She processes experiences in a series of visions, and has learned that it is imperative that her hands bring these visions to life in some way.  This mind-hand exchange is meditative, brings peace and calm to her over stimulated days, and it is in these moments she has the power to channel bliss. 

 Her work is the sum of  love and visions; the product becomes her offering of flowers to the world.   After a stint in the corporate realm, Shayla became enamored with the work and process of skilled artisans. In an age of fast food, fast fashion and media-driven trends, an artisan honors the medium and the journey of making from beginning to end, often through a legacy of skills that have been passed down from previous generations.  She felt connected to the path of the artisan as the need to create, design and make grew stronger. For over 20 years she has fostered her love for art and fashion through study and work in Columbus, OH, New York, NY, London, UK, and Florence, Italy. Now she applies her knowledge and experiences to a focused medium, clay. 

Each piece is one-of-a-kind, carefully and lovingly crafted by hand; glazes and details will vary slightly.   Please note that glazes can be customized depending on need and clientele.  All pieces are glazed on the front and back to ensure a non-abrasive meeting of the ceramic piece to fabric or skin. Each piece is of a delicate nature, please handle with care.
